QPrint is a thermal printing service application by Qelyra. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to users.
Data We Collect
We may collect the following data when you use QPrint:
- Account data: name, email address, hashed password, login tokens, and account status.
- Subscription data: product ID, purchase token, subscription status, expiry date, and purchase verification information from Google Play Billing.
- Print usage data: event ID, print description, and print activity time for service records.
- Feedback data: feedback type, feedback message, and feedback history that you submit.
- Simple POS data: products, categories, prices, stock, sales transactions, sale items, and invoice numbers created in the app.
- Local file data: PDF or image files that you select or share to QPrint for previewing and printing.
- Device and printer data: paired Bluetooth devices, printer name, and Bluetooth device address used for printer connection.
- Technical data: error logs, connection status, app version, and basic network information required to operate the service.
App Permissions
QPrint may request the following permissions:
- Bluetooth: to discover and connect to Bluetooth thermal printers.
- Location: required by some Android versions for Bluetooth scanning and device discovery.
- Storage or image media: to open PDF/image files selected by the user.
- Notifications: to show app notifications when needed.
- Internet and network state: for login, subscriptions, feedback, data synchronization, ads, and communication with the QPrint backend.
How We Use Data
We use data to:
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Process login, logout, token refresh, and session security.
- Connect the app to thermal printers.
- Open, preview, adjust, and print PDF/image/receipt files.
- Store subscription status and verify purchases through Google Play.
- Provide simple POS features.
- Send and display user feedback or feature requests.
- Show ads for free users.
- Prevent service abuse and maintain app stability.
- Provide app version updates.
PDF and Image Files
PDF or image files selected by the user are used for previewing and printing. QPrint does not use these files for other purposes. Files may be stored locally on the device for history or later access based on app features.
Ads and Third-Party Services
QPrint uses the following third-party services:
- Google Play Billing for purchases and subscription management.
- Google AdMob for advertising.
- Google Play Developer API for purchase and subscription verification.
These third-party services may process data according to their own privacy policies.
Data Storage and Security
We use reasonable security measures to protect data, including local token storage on the device and HTTPS communication with the backend when the production domain is used.
Passwords are not stored in plain text. The backend stores passwords as hashes.
Although we work to protect user data, no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure.
Data Sharing
We do not sell users' personal data.
Data may be shared only when needed to:
- Operate the QPrint service.
- Process payments and subscriptions through Google Play.
- Comply with applicable law or valid official requests.
- Protect the security of users, the app, and the service.
Data Retention
Account, transaction, subscription, POS, and feedback data is retained while the account or service remains active, or as long as needed for operations, security, audit, and legal obligations.
Local data on the device can be deleted by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
